As the calendar flips to the 27th and 28th of September 2024, the APVA Awards will once again illuminate the stage to celebrate the remarkable talents of African podcasters, voice artists, and spoken-word maestros. Eager to be part of this grand celebration? Here’s everything you need to know about nominating your favorite audio creatives—or even stepping into the spotlight yourself.

Open to All

Whether you're part of the APVA family or cheering from the sidelines, your nominations are welcome. Yet, a little tip: being an APVA member sprinkles some magic on your nomination. Not a member yet? Join the family by becoming a memberships - it’s free!

No Limits on Nominations

Feel free to nominate across the board or focus on specific categories that resonate with you. And yes, multiple nominations per category are encouraged!

Alignment is Key

Ensure your nominees truly embody the spirit and excellence of the categories you’re nominating them for. This celebration is exclusive to the vibrant world of podcasters, voice artists, and spoken word artists.

Last year’s winners? They’re welcome back on the nomination list. After all, excellence knows no bounds.

Timeline & Process:

Nomination Window: Sharpen those pencils (or, well, flex those typing fingers) from April 21st to June 30th, 2024.
Judging and Public Voting: Our blend of expert judging (70%) and your votes (30%) will crown the category kings and queens. Judging spans from July 8th to July 26th, 2024, evaluating structure, originality, and the sheer brilliance of content and sound.

Remember, the deadline for nominations is 12:00 am GMT on June 30th, 2024. Let’s make this year’s APVA Awards a beacon of Africa’s audio excellence, creativity, and resilience. Together, we celebrate the voices that shape our world, today and tomorrow.
