Aggie Patricia Turwomwe

Communications strategist, the dynamic Coordinator of the Uganda Podcast Association, and the host of the podcast "On Uganda."

Aggie Patricia Turwomwe’s expertise was honed through Audio Skilling Training in Cape Town in 2023, she is also a seasoned podcast coach. Aggie finds joy in sharing the knowledge she has acquired to amplify more voices and share the unheard stories that can change perceptions in Uganda.

Aggie has trained and worked with various communities and institutions, including Women In Tech, Founders Lounge, MCI Hub, 32 Degrees and Design Hub, Mkazi Preneur, and MOTIV alongside BBC’s Africa Daily podcast production team. She has also collaborated with Cavendish University and YMCA Wandegeya.

Jon Savage

Director of Digital Innovation & Founder of Africa Podcast Network

Jon Savage is a director at INBROADCASTING, a cutting-edge digital innovation company renowned for pioneering advancements in broadcasting technologies. Under Jon’s leadership, the company has been recognized by SXSW for its innovations in podcasting and broadcasting. As a key figure in the industry, Jon founded the Africa Podcast Network, the largest podcast network on the continent, which not only showcases local talent but also represents international giants such as BBC, SiriusXM, and Acast in Africa.

In addition to his work with podcasts, Jon is the co-founder of AMPD Studios, the largest empowerment hub in Africa. AMPD Studios is dedicated to bridging the gap between creators and monetization, providing a vital platform for artists and content creators to grow and sustain their careers. Through these ventures, Jon Savage continues to shape the future of broadcasting and digital media across Africa and beyond.

Nick Grubb

Former Journalist, now a Business Leader with a Passion for Media that Connects People through Authentic Relationships.

Nick’s career has spanned leadership roles at major radio broadcasting companies, and an entrepreneurial phase specializing in communication and digital media. He is currently leading the radio business within Kagiso Media. This is one of South Africa’s premiere audio and broadcasting businesses, and includes two of the country’s most successful regional radio stations – Jacaranda FM and East Coast Radio. KM Radio also includes an investment portfolio in four other major radio stations.

He believes that the audio industry, with radio at the core, will remain relevant and successful. It will take digital innovation, collective industry initiatives, and continued commitment to really good programming created by really good people.

John Paul Rugaba is a Ugandan writer, blogger, and tech enthusiast currently based in China, where he studies software engineering at Central Normal University. Rugaba is passionate about technology and global affairs, with a particular focus on promoting an authentic African narrative. Through his blogs, such as *Ruga Voice* He addresses political and social issues affecting Uganda and Africa at large, striving to correct misconceptions about the continent.

Rugaba is also an active participant in international discussions, representing Uganda in various competitions, including the U.S.-China Student Challenge, where his team proposed innovative approaches to improve bilateral relations. In addition, he has contributed to prominent platforms like Afrorep, discussing how Africa can reclaim its story in the digital age. His writing aims to empower African youth by emphasizing the importance of self-representation and storytelling in shaping Africa’s future

Rugaba is the founder and host of the Sangyin Podcast which has grown into the largest African podcast in China . The main goal of the podcast is to provide a platform for Africans in the diaspora to share their experiences with the wider community.

Tosin Olomu

Oluwatosin Daniel Olomu is a World Literacy Foundation Ambassador and Advocate for Quality Education, Youth Empowerment, Youth Entrepreneurship and a Concentrated Addict of the 17 SDGs. He is a Google Certified Digital Marketer and Celebrity Web Designer with over five years’ experience working on projects and initiatives covering digital skills education, youth community development and quality digital marketing services to underserved businesses in Lagos, Nigeria. In a bid to explore the possibilities of the digital world, Tosin founded Olhms Media – A Digital Marketing Agency that Helps Brands, both Personal and Corporate thrive in the Digital world. As well, he has trained over Five hundred youths digital skills from all walks of life in Nigeria. Tosin has participated in several digital skills training across Africa, the United States of America and the UK. He is an alumnus of the Lagos State Youth Ambassadors (2017). His famous Mantra is: You can do it!

Juliana Nthenya Maithya

Educator, Literary Enthusiast, and Founder of Shine Africa Podcast

Juliana Nthenya Maithya is a Kenyan born in Makueni County in Kibwezi sub-county. She went to AveMaria Boarding school for my primary level education and attained Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education from St. Mary’s girls Kinyambu.She is a graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics and Literature. She is a teacher of English and literature in Utithi Secondary School.

She is also the founder and leader of Crown of Glory platforms (blog and podcast) where she shares her literary works of art.She is also the founder and host at Shine Africa podcast .She is a Public Speaker, leader, Voice artist, and a creative writer. Her poem “Lion of Africa” is published in a Zambian Anthology; “Centennial Reflections of Kenneth Kaunda”.

Amanda Cupido

Award-Winning Podcast Producer and Founder of Lead Podcasting

Amanda Cupido is an award-winning podcast producer, author, TEDx speaker and entrepreneur. She is the founder of Lead Podcasting, a production company that develops podcasts for thought leaders and organizations. Her book, Let’s Talk Podcasting: The Essential Guide to Doing it Right, is an Amazon #1 bestseller and used in journalism programs across Canada.

Amanda is passionate about empowering the next generation of media professionals to hone their audio storytelling skills. She is a part-time university professor and has helped to redefine the radio courses at both Seneca College and Toronto Metropolitan University.

Previously, Amanda worked extensively in talk radio, most recently as the program director at AM 640 Toronto. She also spent several years working in global non-profit communications, training leaders and teams how to effectively tell impact stories.
