Questions about APVA Week

APVA Week is a celebration leading up to the APVA Awards, featuring workshops, masterclasses, webinars, and more, hosted by industry experts, professionals, and enthusiasts from the audio sector.

If you're passionate about sharing your knowledge or story, you can apply to host a session. We welcome solo/duo sessions, workshops, webinars, masterclasses, panels, podcasts, and fireside chats.

Sessions will run during the week leading up to the APVA Awards in September 2024. Stay tuned for the exact schedule.

Absolutely! While APVA celebrates African audio creativity, we welcome session proposals from around the world. Your global perspective can enrich the conversation and foster international collaboration.

APVA offers a toolkit and resources to help you plan, promote, and execute your session. This includes promotional materials, technical support for virtual sessions, and guidance on engaging your audience effectively.

We encourage sessions that explore the breadth of the audio industry, including podcasting, voice acting, and spoken word. We're particularly interested in sessions that align with our mission to promote African voices and foster innovation and creativity in the audio space.

We recommend planning for sessions that are between 45 minutes to 1 hour long. This duration allows for deep dives into topics without overwhelming the audience.

Questions on Hosting a Watch Party for the APVA Awards

A watch party is an organized event where community leaders and enthusiasts gather people to watch and celebrate the APVA Awards ceremony live. It's designed to extend the excitement of the awards to various communities, promoting African voices and creative talents on a global scale.

Anyone with a passion for African audio creativity! Whether you're a community leader, a business owner, or simply an enthusiast looking to celebrate African talents, you can host a watch party. We especially encourage hosts in Africa where we focus on building strong communities of support.

As a host, you essentially become a Gold Sponsor of the APVA Awards, a sponsorship detail worth $2000, enjoying benefits like exclusive category sponsorship, brand exposure through our newsletters and insights page, and participation in the virtual awards ceremony. It's an excellent opportunity to showcase your support for African creativity and connect with the community.

Hosts are expected to provide a dedicated space with adequate seating and audio-visual equipment to ensure a great viewing experience.
